NSS Unit 86 of CAS Kuzhalmannam observed NSS Day on 24th September 2025 with meaningful service activities involving both first-year and second-year NSS volunteers.
To mark the day, second-year volunteers conducted a Campus Cleaning Drive at the college. They cleaned classrooms, corridors, garden areas, and surroundings, promoting hygiene and responsibility among students. The drive encouraged teamwork and environmental awareness, reinforcing the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy campus.
Meanwhile, the first-year volunteers visited Buds School, Peringottukurussi. They interacted warmly with the children and engaged them in simple activities that brought joy and comfort. The first-year volunteers also organized a cleaning programme inside and around the Buds School, ensuring a neat and pleasant learning environment for the children. The experience helped the volunteers develop compassion, empathy, and a deeper understanding of social commitment.
Both activities served as a meaningful reflection of the values and spirit of NSS. The day reminded volunteers of their role in society and emphasized the NSS motto: “Not Me, But You.”
